I was honoured to be asked by a student, Sarah, of the AFTA (Australian Fashion Teen Awards) to capture the images of her outfit for submission back in August. Due to covid, at the time, the runway shows had to be cancelled and an alternative approach taken – hence why Sarah now needed photos taken. With a variety of requirements (such as a white backdrop) we set out to the Torrens Parade Grounds in Adelaide City to take advantage of the large white walls! While ticking all of the boxes for her submission, Sarah and I relished with the opportunity to muck around and capture some fun shots for her portfolio! It was one of those shoots that was nothing but fun and playing around. Sarah had worked so hard to complete her outfit (only finishing it that morning!) and was proud of her efforts as the outfit completely depicted her original design drawings. She handmade the whole outfit including ALL of the tiny flowers onto the cap!! Soooo many hours working on a passion project – well done Sarah!
And great news once the awards had been judged – she was awarded second! Well done Sarah! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
