Henley Beach Business Photoshoot
I had the pleasure of working with Chelsea & Karen of Out & About Bookkeeping recently. They have been working on their business and with a new website on its way it was time for a photoshoot to showcase them as the ones to work with for all things accounting.
Headshots + Personal Branding Elements
With their branding colours being coastal they wanted a modern feel to their photoshoot. We aimed for a professional range of shots capturing them in a ‘meeting’ with a client discussing numbers. After doing some research we felt Henley Beach Library was the perfect location to capture their meeting. It has recently been renovated and provided that modern and fresh look and feel and as a bonus there were lots of spots within the space they hired.
The importance of a good backdrop
In our brainstorming session we discussed locations and the type of backdrops they wanted. We decided that a local area they work in should be the focus. By shooting in their area of business, around the Henley Beach/Grange area it clearly communicated that they were a local business servicing the area. By taking this approach and not using stock images to fill the gaps on their website it promotes to potential clients that they are serious about attracting local customers. It also shows they in a recognisable venue that locals would be familiar with. When building a brand it is important to create familiarity as that is one of the cornerstones of branding. People buy from brands they feel they are familiar with.
Breaking up the photoshoot with a more relaxed approach
Being such an amazing day, weather wise, once we were done at the library we headed down towards Grange beach for the final part of the photoshoot. Again we captured some simple headshots, group shots of the girls together in two scenes. One with the palm tree and the other with the beach behind. The day could not have been more perfect with not a whisper of wind around (wind is super painful to edit hair out of eyes and off faces!).
Overall the photoshoot was lots of fun with Karen and Chelsea very happy with the outcome of the day. I look forward to seeing their photos on socials and their website.
