I recently had a new client come to me with a brand new business that they needed a headshot, branding photoshoot and a new website. So we met up and over the course of 2 hours we nutted out a plan of action for Carly (yes, another Carly!) and her new baby. Carly was taking a slightly different course in her life and wanted to be working for herself, still within the midwifery area but doing it on her terms. She has chosen to teach Hypnobirthing and also be a coach plus run Women’s Circles. Her whole approach totally lit me up and aligned with me. We could have talked for another 2 hours! Well we did – at the next photo shoot!
Once we brainstormed the types of photos Carly needed for her new business, Portal 2 Life, we came up with a mix of ideas, styling and location. We agreed on Seacliff beach for the location as we could capture many of the shots within the one area and the main goal was to capture soft, warm, feminine focussed shots, but also incorporating a professional vibe. We split the shoot into two one more corporate styled and the other a softer, warmer vibe at the beach. The weather on this particular day could not have been better! It was mid August and honestly, amazingly warm, not a whisper of wind and a soft warmth to the light that could not have been planned if we tried!!
Carly was ecstatic with her shots and over the few hours we shot, we chatted about all things and kept it light and fun. Every time I do beautiful shoots like this it fills my cup and I am so thankful for all of the wonderful clients that step into my life!
